Based on immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry (ICC), multiplex immunostaining utilize the basic principles of the 2 applications to recognize protein targets; Yet the increasing complexity with detecting multiple targets requires more factors to be considered in order to obtain satisfactory multiplex immunostaining results.
